Home Office

Vancouver, BC.

In Progress

The home office is nestled between the typical functions of a one bedroom apartment.  The footprint and area of the open space is not large and must contain dining, living, storage and work spaces. The overall shape of the living area is rectangular and therefore influences a central open area while having all program on either sides.

The intent and focus of the upgrades is to provide functionality and flexibility to all new pieces while allowing materiality and simple assembly methods to generate a consistent architectural aesthetic. Solid wood pieces such as the book shelves, screening panels, and  the dining light will be home made at the workbench, while larger storage pieces will be outsourced to established makers in Vancouver.

Each custom piece will be showcased through separate project pages in the near future.
